scopes of the world
Insightful reflection 💡
I have always been a full-stack at the core. It doesn't mean I cannot specialize in something. It means that in order to be specialized I need an insight on everything related. That core idea helped me discover patterns repeated in different related areas.
let me introduce you to one of the #paradigms I adopt in observing the universe! hence, no doubt, it is a universal scope and it is well-known I just wanted to get your attention to it again!
All #complexity is developed from a small #simple primitive start.
Imagine a timeline fabric containing the history of everything. Ideas, concepts, and the physical world are all in front of you. It is not hard to observe that everything started from a simple core.
The interesting thing is that Simplicity + Time = Complexity And the second interesting thing is Complexity will reflect its core system more than you could imagine. Time will not replace the simplicity. it will just add up some other simple layers.
Examples:
- Simple Villages to huge Cities.
- Simple programmed function to huge cloud architecture.
- Simple bio creature to the most complex brain.
- Simple childhood to complex adulthood.
- Simple ideas to complex theories.
We will notice that the more complex it gets, it's not going to be a big difference from its simplest origin.
For builders:
if you try to build something complex at the start. you will face difficulties making all its components in harmony.
if you try to build something simple and add up more simple components over time. You may build a great thing.
When adding more complexity to an idea or a system, you neglect the origin and the history of what you are building. you will end up corrupting it.
For scientists:
to truly understand something, I bet you will go through the history of the thing you want to understand. Just to grasp the simplest origin possible.
My hobby is to navigate the etymonline.com to know the origins of words. Sometimes if I can't understand a word I will go to Etymological history instead of translating it.
For self:
Understanding your childhood as a scientist can change your life as a builder. Trying to add complex layers to your physical and mental system is painful. It will result in ever-lasting pain.
There is a series of documentaries called "Seven Up" which navigates the lives of fourteen kids in an episode every 7 years until they reach 56 at age. Those kids are greatly influenced by their childhood. Yes, they may have changed a bit. They may add some layer of complexity as personalities. But the core doesn't change.
To control the self, one has to add a layer of complexity that harmonizes with the core.
